I remember using a glue gun to line my kimono with ribbons, it took me a while to finish..and a few burnt fingers..><
I'm in the US but I went to an anime/sci-fi convention in a superhero costume made almost entirely out of duck tape (the only thing that wasn't was the jacket and pants) and got laughed at so bad that I ended up leaving early ... cause they were being jerks cause they were all pros with their exact Kingdom hearts and halo costumes.
fffffffffffff I use hotglue a lot.. and i always start bsing my costumes.. LET ME JOIN FFFF or else.. xDD jkjk
I remember bringing UHU glue to EOY in case I needed it. At the end of EOY, I realised the tube had a hole and the glue in it leaked to the bottom of my bag, sticking everything in my bag. My hairspray, styling foam, paint, everthing ;u; had a hard time ripping them off the bag.
We brought those portable sewing machines that looked like staplers to the convention when I went to Guangzhou.
They used to sell them for about S$20 around chinatown or Bugis..

You could, just approach aunties who sell these stuff around hawker centers and wet markets.. happy finding! xD
